About CISSP Course
Who Should Enroll?
- To qualify for the CISSP, candidates must pass the exam and have at least five years of cumulative, paid work experience in two or more of the eight domains of the ISC2 CISSP Common Body of Knowledge (CBK®).
- A candidate who doesn’t yet have the required experience to become a CISSP may become an Associate of ISC2 after successfully passing the CISSP exam. The Associate of ISC2 will then have six years to earn the experience needed for CISSP certification.

- All candidates who pass CISSP must complete the online certification application process within nine months of their exam date.
- You will be required to provide an endorser – another ISC2-certified professional in good standing – who can attest to your experience.
- If you do not know another ISC2-certified professional, you can opt for ISC2 to endorse you.
- You will need the endorser’s member/ certification number when filling out the online application.
Maintaining CISSP
- Once you are certified, you become a member of ISC2 and recertify every three years.
- Recertification is accomplished by earning 40 continuing professional education (CPE) credits per year and paying an annual maintenance fee (AMF) of $135 to support ongoing development.
